When I was approached after the house fire, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I had never heard of them beforehand, but after the reconstruction process, I wouldn’t have gone any other way. From dealing with the insurance company to finishing the project, they took most of the work and stress of building a new house off my plate. My time was only really spent deciding on design options, and I would never have completed the project in as timely a manner or with this high quality if I had managed the project myself. Always polite and professional, they were a joy to work with. They will also stand behind their work. A few months after construction was completed, there was a small problem with a wall corner. I contacted Brock, and he made sure it was promptly fixed. The last thing I would want is a house fire, but if it were to happen again, I would be giving Brock a call.
To Whom It May Concern:This letter serves as the highest recommendation we can provide for Brock Johnson, our project manager. Brock led the process of rebuilding our home after a major fire earlier in 2020. There are many reasons we believe Brock is personally responsible for the success of the project: 1. Sensitivity to the Client: Brock specializes in rebuilds after major fire and water damage. He sets a high bar for the manner in which a client is handled, treated, appreciated after the trauma they have experienced. Brock is kind-hearted, warm, friendly, and sensitive to the client’s emotions and how that might affect the pace of the project. It is an intangible that cannot be taught. 2. Organization: Brock is 100 percent focused on the process of completing work on a construction project in a rational, timely, and accurate manner. At every point in the process, he was professional in his efforts to keep us moving with decisions but also remaining patient in waiting for us to consider options. He kept his contractors aligned with our needs and his schedule. And we were always able to get a read from Brock on where the project stood and what was happening next. This is not by accident; Brock keeps everything organized for everyone’s benefit. 3. Relationships: Brock has excellent contractors because he maintains very strong, positive relationships with all of them. This cannot be understated as a value. When Brock needs them, they want to be responsive and helpful because he helps them as much as they help him. More important is that Brock holds his contractors accountable to results and satisfaction for his clients. He is also fair and defends his contractors when his client is not aware of all facts. 4. Advice: Brock has such a deep level of knowledge about construction, but also about fire-related construction. His advice and wisdom were incredibly valuable at numerous points in our project cycle. He also has a creative eye and can offer solutions or ideas where a client may be seeking something unique or special. 5. Commitment: I cannot count the number of times that, when something simply was not right or we encountered an unexpected problem, Brock stepped up to find a solution. More amazing was that he often stepped up and did the work himself. Granted, he did this so that the project continued to move and met schedule requirements, but he also did this because he knew things mattered and that we had no idea how to fix the issues. This aspect of Brock’s work and professionalism is priceless. We were not only very satisfied with the results of our “new” home; we were thrilled with the outcome. Much of that is due to the manner with which Brock managed us as clients. That experience made us friends as well as business partners. Any future customer would be lucky to have him as their project manager.
Joe, our outstanding project manager who we worked with over the 9-month rebuild was phenomenal in every regard, highly communicative, never forgot anything - even the smallest of asks he remembered. He gave us great advice and perspective but also the time and space to work through the litany of detailed decisions involved in the rebuild. Decision fatigue is real, and Joe spaced everything out in a logical, time bound way so we never felt overwhelmed or intimidated by the process. Along the way Joe addressed all our feedback in real-time and we cannot say enough about his flexibility and willingness to address any concerns we had. Joe was supported by an equally outstanding core team of contractors most of who stayed with the house repair throughout the entire 11-month process. They were all considerate., attentive, and with exceptional attention to detail in every facet of restoring our home. We remain impressed with the quality of the work, the care taken in every aspect of the restoration, and the friendly, professional attitude of the team. Our home has been beautifully restored, and we are truly grateful for their hard work and dedication.
To whom it may concern: Brock completed the renovation of our home resulting from a fire this year. Brock Johnson did a tremendous job coordinating all aspects of the project, from working directly with our insurance company to the meticulous material selection and project management. Their contractors are professional, punctual and thorough. We have lived here for over 15 years and recently completed a renovation of our 1860’s home. Unfortunately, the chimney was not included in our remodel and following extensive use it failed us as the source of our fire. Old homes do not possess standard construction, walls and floors are not plumb, old construction may not be up to new code and as a result we were closely involved in the extensive amount of detail to reconstruct the property. There are many challenges and personal requests before, during and after completion of this type of project. The quality of the work and attention to detail was outstanding. Our home was restored to a condition certainly equal to and in some cases better than before. Our project manager was superb in managing the project and coordinating the myriads of tasks required. His communication with us was exceptional which is super critical when you’re sitting in a rental home wondering what is happening and just wanting to get back into your house. Frequently he would go above and beyond what you’d think a project manager’s responsibilities would be in order to keep things moving and exceeding our expectations. We are extremely pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend Brock and his team!
I write this letter today in our good as new – better than new – home. We couldn’t be more pleased with the work performed by and the leadership of Brock Johnson who coordinated an army of framers, plumbers, electricians, masons, roofers, painters, and more to bring our home back.
