About Premier Restoration Services
Premier Restoration Services is a family-owned and operated property restoration company specializing in fire, water, and storm damage restoration and reconstruction. With more than 50 years of combined construction experience, including 25 years focused on insurance restoration, we bring extensive industry knowledge, hands-on expertise, and a personal approach to every project.
As a growing, hands-on company, we offer something you won't always find at larger organizations: the opportunity to work directly with ownership, make a meaningful impact, and help shape the future of the business. We believe in treating every customer as an individual, not a claim number, and are committed to advocating for our clients while maintaining professional, productive relationships with insurance adjusters and industry partners.
Premier Restoration Services is IICRC-certified in Fire and Smoke Restoration and Odor Control. We work closely with experienced subcontractors, architects, and engineers to deliver quality workmanship, accurate estimates, and successful project outcomes.
We are looking for an experienced Lead Estimator who shares our commitment to accuracy, integrity, customer service, and professional excellence and who wants to grow alongside our expanding company.
The role
The Lead Estimator will oversee the estimating process for residential property restoration and reconstruction projects involving fire, water, and storm damage. This individual will play a key role in evaluating losses, developing comprehensive scopes of work, preparing accurate and defensible estimates, and helping move projects from initial inspection through signed contract.
Working closely with company ownership, project managers, subcontractors, homeowners, and insurance representatives, the Lead Estimator will ensure estimates are thorough, well-documented, and aligned with actual project requirements, applicable building standards, and industry best practices.
This position requires a strong understanding of construction methods, insurance restoration estimating, and the ability to identify discrepancies, support necessary repairs, and communicate estimate details professionally and effectively.
In addition to managing estimates, the Lead Estimator will help improve estimating processes, maintain consistent documentation, and mentor team members as the company continues to grow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of their workload while delivering a high level of service to clients and business partners.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections to assess property damage, determine repair requirements, and establish accurate project scopes.
- Prepare detailed, accurate estimates for fire, water, storm, and other property restoration and reconstruction projects.
- Utilize Xactimate, Symbility, and other estimating tools to develop comprehensive scopes, quantities, labor calculations, and material costs.
- Review insurance estimates, identify discrepancies or omissions, and prepare supplements with supporting documentation when necessary.
- Coordinate with homeowners, insurance adjusters, project managers, subcontractors, architects, and engineers to clarify project requirements and resolve estimating questions.
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor bids and incorporate appropriate costs into project estimates.
- Maintain organized estimate files, inspection notes, photographs, revisions, and supporting documentation.
- Track estimate progress, follow up on outstanding items, and help move projects toward approval and signed contracts.
- Support project planning and scheduling by communicating scope details, anticipated costs, and potential challenges to the production team.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with insurance adjusters, property managers, referral partners, and other industry professionals.
- Mentor team members on estimating standards, software, documentation, and best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy, efficiency, consistency, and overall profitability.
- Represent Premier Restoration Services with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to advocating for clients' best interests.
